COSOMOPOLITAN Magazine 'Man of the Year' will be speaking at the Hebden Bridge Trades Club on Sunday at 8pm as part of Calderdale Amnesty Group's campaign on violence against women.
Using a range of multi-media Chris Green will discuss the 'White Ribbon Campaign', and how people can take more responsibility for reducing the level of violence against women.

The work of the White Ribbon Campaign was recognised last November when Cosmopolitan made him the 'Ultimate Man of the Year'.

Chris Green is a member of the Council of Europe Task Force on Violence against Women, and Director of the White Ribbon Campaign UK, part of the largest campaign in the world to involve men in raising awareness and stop the violence.

UNICEF describes the violence against women and girls as "the greatest human rights violation in the world today" and Amnesty and the White Ribbon Campaign fight for the rights of women not to be subjected to abuses.

A BSL interpreter will also be available on the night for users of British Sign Language. The event is free and donations to Amnesty will be gratefully accepted.
