A-Team win the bowls battle of 'Roads

AFTER five completed Hebden Royd Amateur Bowling Association fixtures, Crossroads A have taken 36 points from four matches and a bye.
Their record of four 9-1 victories sits them at the top of Division One, eight points clear of nearest rivals Luddenden Foot who have played in all the opening five fixtures.
League champions Mytholmroyd BC A and promoted Lund Park A come next on 25 points, with Oxenhope A a further point adrift. Oxenhope and Lund Park's respective totals are gained from four fixtures.
A much tighter picture is emerging at the top of Division Two. Ripponden lead the way on 31 points with Mytholmroyd BC B and Hebden Royd Park sharing second place on 28 points, all three teams having competed in the opening five fixtures. Tucked in behind them are Lund Park B and Mytholmroyd WM, both teams having 27 points from four matches and a bye.
A breakaway group has formed in Division Three with Heptonstall leading on 37 points, gathered from their opening five fixtures. Crossroads C come next, their total of 34 points coming from four matches. Completing the summary are Mytholmroyd BC who like Crossroads have encountered a bye and totalled 29 points from four fixtures.
In the Veterans League, Mytholmroyd BC A are leading the way with 29 points from their opening five fixtures, Luddenden Foot, Hebden Royd Park and Savile are next on 27 points, 24 and 21 respectively, each having completed four of the opening five fixtures.

- THE Sunday Morning KO Cup was only completed on Sunday morning.
An all-Crossroads affair, it saw Crossroads A retain the trophy they won last season after a close match with their own C team.
