ROUND 14 of the Hebden Royd Bowling League fixtures proved to be a week of big results with a number of teams setting out their intentions for the rest of the season.
In Division one Oxenhope A turned the corner after two defeats with a 9-1 away win which pushed them back into contention for runners-up spot behind Crossroads.

Elsewhere Sowerby A recorded a 10-0 home win which moves them from the bottom four int
o the top four.

A 7-3 home win for bottom club Cullingworth A should give them the heart to fight to avoid the drop as only eight points separate the bottom four teams.

In Division two Hebden Royd Park have joined Ripponden in second place courtesy of an 8-2 home win over their nearest rivals.

Mytholmroyd WM still lead the division, enjoying an eight point cushion with a game in hand over their rivals.

The contest in Division three is very much still for top place.

Crossroads lead with 102 points, ten clear of rivals Heptonstall A. While that may sound like a comfortable cushion, Heptonstall have a game in hands on their rivals and still have to host them in a league game too.

In the Veterans League Hebden Royd Park are making it very difficult for any team to get a look in.

Another 8-0 win gives them 70 points from 11 fixtures with Savile, Luddenden Foot and Mytholmroyd BC A forming the chasing pack.

Foot are best placed with 63 points but they have played one more game than the leaders.
