Crossroads' perfect year ends at Royd

CROSSROADS A have finally been beaten in the Hebden Royd Bowling League.
Mytholmroyd BC A were the first team to lower their colours, even though Crossroads already installed as Division one champions.
At the bottom only three points separate Cullingworth A, Crossroads B and Hebden Bridge. Bridge are slight favourites to beat the drop as they have one game in hand over their rivals.
Mytholmroyd WM were installed as Division two champions, returnin
g to the top flight at the first attempt.
The battle for runners-up spot could not be closer with Hebden Royd Park, Lund Park B and Oakworth all on 105 points, two ahead of Ripponden.
In Division thee Heptonstall A remain unbeaten with three fixtures left. Crossroads C, who have two games to play, are a point behind.
Division one: Crossroads B 4, Hebden Bridge 6; Cullingworth A 3, Lund Park A 7; Mytholmroyd BC A 7, Crossroads A 3; Sowerby A 4, Denholme A 6; Oxenhope A 9, Luddenden Foot A 1.
Division two: Savile 8, Mytholmroyd BC B 2; Lund Park B 7, Ripponden 3; Oakworth 7, Hebden Royd Park 3; Mytholmroyd WM 9, Oxenhope B 1; Hollins 7, Sowerby B 3.
Division three: Luddenden Foot C 5, Old Town B 5; Heptonstall A 9, Cullingworth B 1; Sowerby C 3, Heptonstall B 7; Mytholmroyd BC C 10, Old Town C 0; Denholme B 3, Crossroads C 7.
l The draw for the floodlit fours has been made.
All matches take place at Ripponden and start at 6.30pm. Once team from each evening will qualify for the finals on Saturday, September 27.
Tuesday, September 9: Old Town B v Oxenhope B, Ripponden B v Old Town A.
Thursday, September 11: Luddenden Foot B v Mytholmroyd B, Hebden Royd Park v Old Town C.
Tuesday, September 16: Luddenden Foot C v Crossroads, Ripponden A v Sowerby B
Thursday, September 18: Hebden Bridge v Sowerby A, Luddenden Foot A v Oxenhope A
