CALDER Valley fell runners took the accolades in the Thieveley Pike race held near Burnley.
Over the four and a quarter mile course the club supplied the first three finishers as well as the first lady.
The 1-2-3 was Ben Mounsey in a time of 30.41, followed by Shaun Godsman 30.53 and Alex Whittem,clocking 32.39.
Todmorden-based Sharon Godsman was the first lady home in 42.34,almost a minute ahead of her nearest rival Jane Leonard (Todmorden Harriers)
Other Calder Valley runners finishing were: 17th place Steve Hunter in 38.21; 34th Lee Shimwell 40.51; 39th Tim Hayles 41.40; 41st Carl Greenwood 42.20; 45th Mike Wardle 43.25; 51st Graham Lloyd 44.02; 52nd Martin Whitehead 44.05; 74th Neil Croasdell 48.33; 77th Linda Hayles 49.10.
l CALDER Valley runners were also present at the 12 mile Whernside race, starting from Dent in Cumbria.
Reinstated after several years' absence from the racing calendar, this event takes an entirely different route up to the 2,415ft summit from the more familiar Three Peaks Race route.
As well as the Whernside ascent runners also had to climb the lesser known Great Coum (2254ft), two miles west of Whernside, before a fast downhill finish to Dent village.
In a field of 172, Gary Oldfield was the first Calder Valley finisher in 11th place with a time of 1.39.47. Other Valley positions were: 52nd Chris Godridge 1.53.51; 98th Karl Robertson 2.05.26; 123rd Dave Beston 2.13.37; 124th Dave Culpan 2.13.49; 156th Mick Banks 2.34.55.
