EARLY play showed that Whites’ had learned their lesson from the previous week’s disappointing defeat.
With Saints the sharper of the two teams, it was no surprise that the deadlock was soon broken with a Thomas Hosker ta
p-in.
Ever impressive Rhys Tynan added to the scoreline, making amends for earlier hitting the bar.
The home team conceded a goal on the counter-attack just before the half time break but with five goals already chalked up, two from Ben Grannon and a second from Hosker, the mood was fairly relaxed.
The second half saw new man Alec Miller make his debut, he immediately settled his nerves with a first class strike from the edge of the box.
The visitors snatched a second goal on the counter-attack which prompted a frantic period of play from Saints resulting in Henry Fitzsimmons and Miller adding to the goal tally.
Luis Coneron produced a solid midfield performance but a special mention should go to Cameron Andrew who, in the presence of his professional footballer brother, produced the kind of performance any brother would be proud of.
Tynan was awarded the man of the match.

SPORTS were well organised with some crisp one touch passing but such is the quality of Saints that they weren’t allowed to settle on the ball or get any rhythm going.
Luke Latham struck a super strike in the seventh minute only to be denied by the keeper, but Dylan Ellison showed a little piece of quality in the 8th minute when he serenely skipped around the keeper and planted the ball in the net to give Saints the lead.
Latham struck a fierce left footed shot seconds later to make it 2-0 and Saints were on their way. George Gledhill made it 3-0 before half time after being brought down in the penalty area.
Saints consolidated their dominance in the second half with a fine goal from Nathan Marlor from one end to the other after a TSC corner kick fell at his feet.
Marlor scored his second of the day minutes later from a Gledhill corner. Saints were denied further goals when Gledhill and Jake Blackhurst hit the post in the final minutes.
Harry Shapland, Lucas Newsome and Ben Hellowell put in excellent solid performances to ensure a 5-0 resounding victory for this up and coming team.
l A second match saw Saints a little over complacent and Tod Sports eager to salvage some self respect.
They went 2-0 up within a matter of minutes. Nathan Marlor got his third of the day in the second half as Saints lost the second game 2-1.

TIGERS by name, Tigers by nature spirit...this was a gutsy performance to hold an excellent Todmorden side to a narrow winning margin.
Saints started well with Leon Bailey making jinking runs through the midfield and Jake Ormerod shot narrowly wide.
