Halifax Boxing, Sports and Fitness Club awarded £30,000 grant from BBC Children In Need

Halifax Boxing, Sports and Fitness Club has been awarded a three-year grant of £30,000 to deliver boxing sessions to children and young people with additional needs

The sessions will give the children and young people the opportunity to take part in physical activity in a safe environment, where they will able to develop confidence and self-esteem, as well as improving their overall health and wellbeing.

Mick Rowe, Director at Halifax Boxing, Sports and Fitness Club said: “We’re so pleased to hear that we have been awarded this funding which will enable us to deliver our project for the next three years. A huge thank you to everyone that has made this possible.”

The funding has come from the BBC’s Children In Need, which is funding six projects to a value of more than £274,000 across Calderdale.
